Maui Stuff

Sunrise at Haleakala (House of the Sun) It was beautiful and freezing. I think this spot was at about 9200 feet elevation.

We biked (coasted really on the road to the left in the photo) down the road that went up Haleakala.

Here you can see the crater as well as the sunrise.

At the top of Haleakala are many astronomical observatories called ‘science city’. You can see a few on the left of the photo.

This is an World War II era bunker. It looked over the harbor. When it was in use, there were no trees to obscure the views..

This is a view of Maui from the back of the boat while it was docked.

Coming back from the Molokini Crater / snorkling trip. The sky reflected in the water made a big difference in the sea color.
