Loy Canyon
Went back to Loy canyon. This time, we went up to the top of the canyon. The last part of the trail was pretty unused.
This was an impressively large, trimmed and dead tree.
Bracketed HDR without tripod.
The trailhead is back there, to the left a bit.
Looking southwest, from a very shallow cave. This captured the day pretty well. Nice, clear, not too cool.
This is the southern side of the canyon. In the shadow, it is quite cold here. Ice and packed snow on the trail. It has to be 20 degrees cooler in the shade.
This is 180 degrees of the northern side of Loy canyon. This is about 2/3 down the trail.
This tree is almost gone …
